# Upload Case Data via Settings Page

This guide explains how to upload case data into your workspace using a CSV or XLSX file. This option is designed for workspaces that do not use automated data integrations and relies on the custom configuration already set up for your workspace.

## When to use this feature
Use the **Upload Case Data** feature if:
* Your workspace does not have automated data ingestion enabled
* You need to manually import case data
* Your data is already formatted to match your workspace configuration
⚠️ The CSV or XLSX must follow the field structure and naming conventions established during your workspace setup.

1. **Log in** to your workspace.
2. Click **Settings** in the main navigation.
3. Scroll to the section labeled **Upload Case Data**.
4. Upload your file by either:

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ${color}[#4069AE](●) Clicking to browse and select a file from your computer.
Once the file is added, the import process will begin automatically.

## Monitoring your import
After uploading, you can track progress using the **Import Wizard**:
1. Navigate to the **Workspace File Uploads** table.
2. Locate your uploaded file.
3. Review the **Status** column to see the current state of the import.

### Import status meanings
| Status | What it means |
| ---- | ---- |
| Received | The file is currently being imported |
| **Success** | The file was imported successfully and data is now available |
| **Error** | An error occurred during import |

## After a successful import
* Once the status shows **Success**, your case data will be visible throughout your workspace.
* Imported cases will follow the same structure, dashboards, and views configured for your environment.

## Common tips
* Ensure your file is saved as a **.csv or .xlsx** format
* Do not modify column headers unless instructed
* Large files may take several minutes to process
* If an import fails, double-check formatting or contact support
