# Organization & Workspace overview

Learn how Health Data Explorer organizes access into organizations, modules, and workspaces, and where to manage them.
Health Data Explorer organizes access around three levels: your **organization**, the **modules** it's licensed for (Case, Analytics, Deep Intelligence, and AI Studio), and the **workspaces** where your team actually works. This article introduces the Org & Workspace section, where Org Owners and Org Admins manage members, licenses, and workspaces in one place.
### Getting there
In the left sidebar, click **Org & Workspace** (below your modules). The Organization page opens with four tabs:
* **Overview**: a snapshot of your organization, showing how many modules are licensed, how many workspaces exist, how many members belong to your org, and which modules are enabled in each workspace.
* **Members**: the people in your organization and their organization role.
* **Licenses**: which modules your organization is licensed for.
* **Workspaces**: the individual workspaces in your organization, the modules enabled in each, and who has access.
Your own organization role appears under the page title (for example, **Your role: OrgAdmin**).

> **Tip:** If you belong to more than one organization, use the **Organization** switcher at the top of the page to change organizations. Use the **Workspace** switcher next to it to change workspaces.
### How access is structured
* Your **organization** is the top level. Think of it as your account with Health Data Explorer.
* Your organization is **licensed** for one or more **modules**. You don't need every module. An organization can be licensed for just Analytics, just Deep Intelligence, or any combination that fits.
* Your organization has one or more **workspaces**, the operational environments where your data lives and your team collaborates. Each workspace has one or more licensed modules **enabled**. Most organizations have a single workspace, though larger organizations (for example, a state overseeing multiple counties) can have several.
> **Important:** Being a member of an organization doesn't give you access to its workspaces. Workspace access is granted separately, for each workspace.
### Organization roles
Every member of your organization has one of three roles:
* **Org Owner**: full control over the organization, including licenses, members, and workspaces.
* **Org Admin**: can manage members, licenses, and workspaces, similar to an Org Owner.
* **Org Member**: a general member of the organization. Org Members currently have view-only access to Overview, Licenses, and Workspaces, and don't see the Members tab.
