# Managing organization members

Invite people to your organization, change their organization role, or remove them.

The **Members** tab lists everyone who belongs to your organization. Org Owners and Org Admins use it to invite new people and manage their organization role.
### Viewing your organization's members
Go to **Org & Workspace** › **Members**. The table shows each person's email, **Org role**, **Status**, and **Last active** date.

### Inviting a new member
1. On the Members tab, click **Invite**.
2. Enter the person's **email address**. Use the same email they'll sign in with.
3. Choose their **Organization role**: Org Owner, Org Admin, or Org Member.
4. Click **Add member**.

The new member is added to your organization with the role you selected.
> **Important:** Adding someone to your organization doesn't give them access to any workspace. To give them access, invite them to a workspace. See ${color}[#f00505](Managing workspaces & workspace access).
> **Tip:** If you invite someone directly to a workspace, they're added to your organization as an Org Member automatically and appear on the Members tab right away.
### Changing a member's role
1. On the Members tab, click **Edit** next to the person.
2. In the **Change organization role** dialog, choose a new **Organization role**.
3. Click **Save role**.

### Removing a member
Click **Remove** next to the person. Removing someone from the organization also removes their access to every workspace in it.
> **Note:** The Org Owner can't be removed. The **Remove** button is unavailable on their row.
### About organization roles
* **Org Owner** and **Org Admin** can manage members, licenses, and workspaces.
* **Org Member** is a general member with view-only access to most of the Org & Workspace section. Org Members don't see the Members tab.
