Is this email really from Health Data Explorer?

Security Notice: Phishing & Scam Emails

At Health Data Explorer, protecting the security of your data is a top priority. We’ve been made aware of phishing attempts where bad actors send emails that appear to come from Health Data Explorer or our parent company, Acoer.

These messages are not sent by our team and are intended to trick recipients into clicking links or sharing sensitive information.

This article explains how to recognize legitimate communication from us and what to do if you receive a suspicious message.

Official Health Data Explorer & Acoer Email Domains

Health Data Explorer is a product developed by Acoer. Legitimate emails from our team will only come from the following domains:

  • @acoer.com
  • @support.healthdataexplorer.io

However, email domains alone are not a guarantee that a message is legitimate.

In some cases, phishing emails may be crafted to appear as though they were sent from a real or familiar domain. This is known as email spoofing and is a common tactic used by attackers.

Because of this, it’s important to evaluate the content and context of the message, not just the sender address.

If you are ever unsure whether an email is legitimate, contact us directly through your account or the Help Center. Do not reply to or click links in the suspicious message.

What We Will Never Ask You To Do

Health Data Explorer and Acoer will never ask you to:

  • Share your password via email
  • Provide financial or billing information by email
  • Click a link to “verify”, “secure”, or “restore” your account
  • Act immediately due to threats such as account suspension or data loss
  • Send emails from our domains that appear to come from or represent another company, product, or third-party service

Any email requesting this information should be considered a phishing attempt.

What To Do If You Receive a Suspicious Email

If you believe you’ve received a phishing or scam email:

  1. Do not click any links or download attachments
  2. Do not reply to the email
  3. Forward the message to hello@healthdataexplorer.io
  4. Delete the email from your inbox

Reporting suspicious messages helps us protect our clients and investigate impersonation attempts.
