# Accept or Decline a Workspace Invitation

When someone invites you to a workspace, you need to accept the invitation before you can see the workspace and its data. You’ll get an email letting you know you’ve been invited. Then you accept the invitation in Health Data Explorer.
### Find your pending invitations
The **invitations icon** (a person with a plus sign) is in the top-right corner of every page. The green badge on it shows how many pending invitations you have. If you have none, it shows **0**.

#### If you’re new and don’t have a workspace yet
The first time you log in, if you aren’t a member of any workspace yet, Health Data Explorer opens the **Org & Workspace** page. The page tells you that you need to join a workspace first:
* The **Overview** tab shows **You have a pending workspace invitation**.
* The **Workspaces** tab shows **No workspace access**.
Click **Review invitations** on either tab to open your invitations.
#### If you already have a workspace
When you’re invited to another workspace, the number on the invitations icon goes up. Click the icon to open your invitations.
### Accept or decline an invitation
1. Click the invitations icon or **Review invitations**. The **Workspace invitations** panel opens.
2. Review the invitation. Each one shows:
   * The workspace name
   * Who invited you
   * The date you were invited
3. Click **Accept** to join the workspace, or **Decline** to turn down the invitation.
When you accept, the workspace is added to your account and your module roles (for example, Analytics: User) are applied. You stay on the **Org & Workspace** page, which now shows information about the workspace you joined.
## Open your new workspace
1. If you have access to more than one workspace, check the **Workspace** switcher at the top of the page. If it doesn't show the workspace you want, open the switcher and select it.
2. In the left sidebar, click **Analytics**. The workspace opens, and you can start exploring.

> **Note:** If you decline an invitation by mistake, ask the person who invited you to send a new one.
## I don't see my workspace or invitation
If you can't find a workspace you expected, or you see **No workspace access**, check these in order:
* **You're in a different organization.** If you belong to more than one organization, open the **Organization** switcher at the top of the page and select the right one. Workspaces and invitations are shown only for the selected organization.
* **You haven't been invited yet.** Being a member of an organization doesn't give you access to its workspaces. Each workspace needs its own invitation. Ask your Org Admin to invite you.
* **The invitation went to a different email address.** Check your email, including your spam or junk folder, for an invitation from Health Data Explorer. Make sure you're logged in with the email address the invitation was sent to.
* **You can open the workspace but don't see Analytics in the sidebar.** The module may not be turned on for that workspace. Ask your Org Admin to enable it.
* **You could see the workspace before, but it's gone now.** An admin may have removed your access. Ask your Org Admin.
